Is there anyone on here that works for KAG Food Products division (food grade tankers)? I am looking at a regional position out of Gainesville GA. Mileage pay seems decent. I will find out about other pay (delay, breakdown, etc) on Monday as I have an interview with them. My main question is do they keep you busy mileage wise? .57-.60cpm doesn't mean anything if you aren't getting any miles. I was told I would stay mostly in the southeast but they have runs going to Arkansas, Oklahoma and sometimes Texas which is all good with me.
Any information about the food grade side would be great. Seems like a good gig but you know how recruiters lie :/

I have a buddy who went to KAG food. He didn't have a good experience after about three months and left. It was a revenue issue.

How long ago was this? KAG supposedly has a "new increased" pay package. I was told .55cpm regional, .58cpm if you are otr and stay out a minimum of 14 days. Hourly rate sucks, $16.50 per hour for delay, break down. Have to give up first 2 hours loading or unloading (bs in my book). I forgot to ask if they pay you for layover and 34 hour resets. I need to call them back.
I have mixed feelings about them. Not sold completely. -
Sometime last summer.

Look into KAG reputation. Then decide if you want to work for them.
spindrift and pathfinder1361 Thank this. -
kag has a mixed reputation for sure but food grade is usually not great paying unless you go to oakley or indian river that pays by the day, theres a kag terminal by my house and its impossible to get into
pathfinder1361 Thanks this. -
No daily pay at Indian River that I've ever heard of. You have to be very lucky to even get detention pay, layover or resets?. Forget it
Having said that, if you can go to Canada you can make good money. I'm well on my way to exceed $75K my first year.pathfinder1361 Thanks this. -
I'm just going by the pay package they were offering me on the south east and local accountspathfinder1361, Redtwin and spindrift Thank this.
