Thats cool...I have alot of respect to the drivers...But we in recovery dont fix vehicles,even our own.We just go get military and civillian vehicles when the wreck or get blown up outside the wire.And we do a little on base missions too...

Sorry to bump a very old thread...My employer built International 5900 Armored trucks for KBR in 2006. These may have not been the best trucks for Iraq but we built them as ordered. Does anyone have any pictures of these trucks in action? Other than the cab we have on display in our plant the last time I seen one of these trucks it was being loaded onto a ship in Houston, TX Thanks!

I have seen some post from a while ago with people wantin to drive for KBR...They do not care about you as a person.There has been hundreds of KBR drivers that have died in Iraq,or came home maimed!!!I am in the army reserves and I drove in Iraq from Sep-20-2005 - Sep-28-2006.We ran gun truck escort missions for KBR.There trucks are extremely vulnerable to different attacks fom the Iraqis'.They also drive alot of military tractor trailers because they are getting paid by how many people they employ over seas, so instead of buying more trucks,Bush gave them ours for free so they could hire more peope and not have to buy more trucks.They still use a bunch of their older trucks also.KBR gets $1,000 a day from the government for every employee they have.You get paid $85,000 a year.Do the math and thats about $240 a day!!!!Thats about 50 cents a mile for a 500 mile trip!!!!Come on now,is that really worth it???You would do better as an owner operator.They only take you with 3 years+ expirience be
cause they need super truckers.You dont run logs there.You could be on a 5 hour convoy,our you could be on a 17 hour strait convoy.Done it plenty of times,but I was never in a truck alone like the KBR guys.I am not against the war,I would go back in a heartbeat.I Just wanted to let drivers know it is not what it looks like.If you get hurt they send you home,end of story..No workmans comp from what alot of the drivers told me...Please drivers,think about what you are gonna give up for a quick buck you may never see!!!Please drivers think about every other option you have before you go with them..Do some thinkin about your family also.

Make sure you watch all of this..Its a daily accurance.And just hope you dont get stuck with a unit hat leaves you there like they did to that driver...

My brother Christopher Lem was killed on that day Sept 20,2005 in Iraq ..aka MadMax today is his birthday he would of been 53 yrs old ...
all you ppl w/ the negative comments about not having experience well my brother served in USA Army for almost 20 yrs ! KBR negeleted to install the bullet proof windshields that we’re sitting on base ... neglected to provide acute direction .. they don’t care about human life the old mighty green $ is more important (greed) they take no responsibility for their actions finger pointing to the next well you know the saying point one 3 back at yourself!
Shame on this so called company . God don’t like dirty !
I love you Christopher, miss you more !

Yea those were the trucks that were targeted after the claims of being IED proof. I saw several of them get blown up. And I'm so glad when I got hit I was in an A.M. General if otherwise I wouldn't have made it.

I can remember 7 that were killed. And when the scary national guard and reservist came over and started getting us lost and shot up. A lot of us said to hell with this we're outta here.
