Well just a quick update...im sitting here in Columbus Ohio waiting for the customer to come up to the dealership and sign for this Komatsu excavator. I picked this up in Carrlisle and called the customer to see if they had any Saturday hours. He said not normally, but that he would meet me here around noon because his son had a baseball game near here and there was no reason I should have to sit on this load all w/end. (if only more recievers had this type of mindset) I have had one of the best weeks since being back. After delivering this load I will have 3600 miles. when I leave here im d/heading to Aurora, Il. to pick up a legal load headed to Houston. So that will be 1570 miles to start next week.

Cressler is run by the same folks right? I have never heard anything bad about them either, thinking about applying there.:biggrin_2558:

Glad to hear it's working out for you. I have noticed the freight picking up.Pretty much across the board everyone is much happier than they were last year at this time.

Yes keen owns creesler...they now dispatch the creesler drivers out of Carlisle, and they now combine creesler and keens orientations in Carlisle.

Thats no doubt...this time last year things were pretty ugly, but since I came back in January I have been running pretty hard.

Well another week in the books, not a bad week I finished the week with about 2750 miles. I have a load that delivers down at the port in Baltimore Monday morning, so I decided to swing by our yard in Carlisle and spend the weekend here instead of down at the dump that is the T/A in Baltimore. I pulled in here Saturday around noon and the yard was pretty crowded some of these guys already had the grill out, were in rhe process of cooking burgers, dogs, sausage, pork tenderloin, and potatoes. Thats one thing I can say about spending the weekend at one of our yards compared to most other companies I have worked at in the past....for the most part all the guys that work here get along, and we will make the most of being stuck somewhere for the weekend. We had so much food left over that we cooked out again this afternoon.
Im not sure yet what I will be doing when empty down in Baltimore, I could reload down at the pier or come back up to the yard in carlisle and load. I know our yards out in Illinois or slammed so they are already bouncing a few guys back out there empty on Monday. I hope everyone has a safe and productive week.

Well I had an awesome week. I loaded in Ill. and delivered in Baltimore Monday morning. I reloaded out of Baltimore with a 2 stopper, 1st stop was in Cleveland and finished up in Cincinnati. From there they bounced me to Decatur, Ill. and loaded an over sized load going down to Houston. I got that off Friday morning and to run over to our yard just South of Houston and switch trailers and deadhead back up to our yard in Morton Ill. (when freight is jamming like it is now, they will deadhead us across the country if need be to cover loads coming out of caterpillar) They had a preloaded trailer waiting on me in Morton going to a coal mine in WVa. I have a parts load that must deliver withn the main machine, and that delivery is set for Tuesday morning. So I secured the preloaded trailer and decided to come on down to Dallas Pike WVa. and get my restart Monday since I can't deliver until Tuesday. I eneded the week with 3845 paid miles. Im scheduled to go home next weekend....I kinda hate to go home and break the roll I have been on over the last month, but 4 to 5 weeks out is about all I can take before I need to get home and reset the batteries.
I hope all you fathers out there had a good fathers day....my wife and daughters say that we will celebrate the holiday next weekend when im home.

One of the few good things in CAli is that you can run at night and weekends...
