I think alot of the static is the new lingo if the trucking and CB world, I don't hear much in my radio down in Florida and when I do it's usually not worth listening to anyway. Some days I go all day and not hear anyone on the radio at all.

Oh okay. Since they started making these cobra radios in China, they have a lot of issues with poor solder joints. Bouncing around on rough roads doesn't help. Since it's an old company radio, you will probably be better off getting another radio.

Ok.....From the time you take the radio outta the box,any of your connections and i mean any can cause an issue....Any led,hid lights can cause it,inverters and chargers for gps, cell ect can all cause the massive noise....

1st thing is to shut down the truck, kill all power except to power radio...Now keep trying to turn on different options to see how and what the noise is being caused by.....Now address that issue..

I decided to go buy a new radio and have no issues now. The old CB is just bad. Prolly something internally that has gone out.
