Do any of you road junkies know how to deal with the salt build up from blocking your view when traffic passes you?
I find I'm having to stop at just about every fuel island to clean the windshield off, otherwise I go through 1-2 gallons of Peak per day.

I used two milk jugs full of water where you can get it out of any tap free with was a clean paper towel I will flush the salt off and wipe it down then use my glass cleaner to polish it up and yes you will have to do this over and over and over until winter is over

I just go ahead and use and abuse that window fluid man!! A gallon a load is no biggie for the 30 days a year or so that actually we need it....(really only 30 or 40 BAD days a year out here IMO.)

I use to stock up on washer fluid before the season started. Usually could get it on sale in the summer or fall. I would buy 7 or 8 cases and would make it to spring with that.
Use to drive a lot through Ontario and BC, they were the worse for road spray. -
I also keep a spray bottle full of washer fluid and a good rag handy.
Dan.S and Streetroddreams Thank this. -
Don't keep heat on the windshield and don't keep the cab temps high.
Dan.S Thanks this. -
Good wiper blades help alot. Wiper blades don't last like they used to. I blame synthetic rubber for that.
