Keeping your straps from freezing?

    yup. I've had to pay straps apart before to get them unwound. I'm always looking for easier ways to do the job so I'm not wasting dot time on frozen straps. And I'm getting old enough now where my fingers dont like holding frozen straps. I've laid them on the exhaust before to get them unwound but never beat my engine up with them. With my luck I'd break something on the engine

    I should not have said about the engine. The exhaust is a good heat source without doing damage to the straps. There is a small part of me thats a little bit loco when it comes to small problems like straps.

    Whats really amazing is that the straps we had that one winter worked fine in the land of ice so to speak. Just a whole lot of WD40 once you got the ice off the binders.
