I have a buddy who works for KTS right now and he is not getting the miles and always has live load/offload freight. He was making more at CRE.

It's still exactly as it was when I was driving it for Simon. The only exception is that I've had to buff the black paint a few times so the pinstriping is worn off.

When I removed the skunk logos, you can still see the outlines. I left those alone and you can still barely see them. I'll never buff those the rest of the way out because it brings back such good memories.

When Simon got bought by Jerry Moyes, I went to the Simon store and bought some cool Simon posters, a few hats, and the model Simon trucks with the skunk logos. They're on display in the corner of my shop.

When you look at Kelle's Transport trucks, you can see the updated version of the skunk logo.

I found this truck online. Notice the truck number. This was put into service in 1999.

If we could see the trailer number, we would know it was a six digit number starting with 53. Such as 53-2227. This means a 53 footer. A 48 foot dry van would be 48-1111 and a 28 foot double would be 28-1111. I think that Central changed our trailer numbering system, which is too bad because you could tell by the trailer number how big it was and how old it was.

Kelle's Transportation logo. Notice that the skull and crossbones are on the flag. When I was pulling for his dad, some of the food companies thought it looked too much like the poison symbol so we changed it. Glad it's back.

I'll take a pic of the poster for you. I added a little touch of my own to it. I added a plaque that says, "This truck has traveled all 2,461 miles of historic Route 66"

I loved parking my truck in front of those 1950's gas stations that are now abandoned and taking pictures of it. Nowadays, loads are so tight on time that I don't think a guy could do it anymore.

This may be a long shot, but do you still have those load locks? Would love to buy some off of you.
