Not really, no real beef with them at all.... Just what I see in my neck of the woods, of course they are not the big players up here by any means. It's likely like another driver pointed out... They are responsible for their own trucks and trailers... Did see some new equipment from them just this week. So, maybe they are getting rid of the junk... Here is what I think the real deal is, they bought out a couple smaller carriers and are running them older trailers, and some of the tractors as well. Looks like they may be getting rid of some of them at this point... where I see them anyway.

Also, we all felt bad for the Kenan driver that sucked in a brand new trailer. It happened in Chicago about 4 or 5 years ago. We were all pulling ethanol into a terminal there...(train bridge out or something) and there was always a long line there... A bunch of us were talking, and then we heard what sound like someone beating the heck out of something with a sledge hammer. It was the trailer, turns out the emergency vacuum release on top, had a plastic plug turned into it, as the trailer was brand freaken new... Probably it's first or second load. Poor guy knew he was fired.

Still training as they won't allow me to go out on my own until I recieve my rack cards for Marathon and Sunoco, which we rarely go to and they won't let you test out loading until you have been there at least three times. Got my card for the main terminal we load out of after one week.
Job is relatively easy. Hardest part about my training has been dealing with my trainer.Guy never shuts up and he also doesn't train the way the company wants him to but, he is the only driver out of my terminal willing to train so they just deal. Looking to get out there on my own in another week. Anyone considering gasoline delivery should check it out. It really is a pretty good gig.

Just a quick update for anybody in the Midland, Mi area. Don't ever come work for Advantage Tank in this area. This place is a zoo and is very loosely "run" from the Toledo office. Truck repairs take forever (since we don't have our own mechanics), they have too many drivers and not enough customers to make a decent paycheck. If you ever get the chance to work here, use it strictly to get experience that you can use to get a better gas hauling job. That is the conclusion I have reached after 4 months.

I have not worked for Keenan A. but I hauled Gasoline for many years , , Lost my patience with 4 wheelers trying to get by me while backing up to fills, running over cones I set out . I saw the possibility of accident very high and after 4 years stopped hauling gas, diesel, kero. . Good Luck be careful around stations !
