And some of us would prefer to pay 10k or less to inframe our own trucks near the million+ mile mark instead of 16k in parts alone at 600k. As i said, if you think mpg is the most important thing, fine, but dont lie to yourself that its the ONLY thing to look at in buying a truck
I Have a plan for my engine overhaul. I'm buying a crash engine. Paccar mx13 seems to be undesirable in the used market, and I have seen many listed for sale with 200k on them for 8-10k. I'll most likely buy a spare as I get close to 600-700k but so far the engine doesn't even burn 1 qt or oil between changes...
Did you ever find out your problem, mine is also not chagrin, I replaced my battery separator rely, still my battery is not charging
Well my apu smartair charges batteries. I found reason for mine not working was it sprung a leak. Think the condenser is bad since it has been beat up some. Reason for batteries not charging: two bms. One on apu battery other on start. A fuse is inline just off the backup battery bms. It is just a y connector but has a fuse with a rubber cap on it. Needs 12 volts. One wire goes back to the separator if I remember right. Small wires. A big fuse on both sets of batteries bolted to back of box. As long as them 100 amp fuses on the box are good your batteries should charge if the separator and bms are good. Unplug bms for a couple minutes and plug back in to reset it.
