This truck blows a lot of smoke while it is running. it will eventually choke itself out. We think its the turbo it has a loss of power and is using a lot of oil. also it has oil in the antifreeze but not the other way around. it is a cat c-13 engine

What year make and model is the engine? What is the color of the smoke? Did you do a bottle test on the cooling system? There are going to be some extremely knowledgable people that will be chiming in and will help a lot, but there is a lot of testing to be done to pinpoint what your issue is. My very amature opionion is that may not be the turbo.

Haven't done a bottle test yet. The smoke is white. It's a 2005 Kenworth t800 with the c 13 dual turbo Caterpillar engine

So using a lot of oil, putting oil in the coolant, white smoke and down on power. Does the smoke smell sweet? Im guessing that you may have a ruptured oil cooler or blown head gasket. Is it using coolant too?
-
And when you say choke itself out what are you referring to?? Like the engine dies? Or does the white smoke go away?
-
White smoke is usually water or coolant.Black is fuel, blue is oil.
-
The smoke does smell sweet. It is not using coolant and the engine is loud and dies after 5-10 min.
-
I posted a video on FB about it and that video is with the pedal all the way down

Sweet smelling smoke thats white is a 90% sign that it's burning coolant. And somewhere where coolant and oil are side by side there is a seal broken. The oil is displacing the coolant so that is probably why it doesn't appear to be using coolant.

I checked again and the exhaust does not smell sweet
