I just started a job Tuesday, my first truck is derated and has a hole in the hydraulic tank. Assuming that those 2 issues aren't somehow related, how do I reset the derate? Manually, without electronics if able. Any help would be great. These trucks are not like the 7 tons and humvees I'm used too!

If its got active faults you have to fix those first to clear a derate.

Are the electronics on the dash working?
You can scroll through and look for faults. You might be able to start a regen with the dash controls,if not a mechanic will have to do it with a computer.
I drove for Halliburton, they had a lot of beat up Kenworths on the frac crews.
On crew moves we would still drive them if they were showing derates, for short distances.Sometimes the codes would clear in a mile or 2.If you have a hydraulic system the truck probably idles a lot running the pto, really hard on the emissions.Best bet is get a mechanic to force a regen with a computer.
