Not sure when to put this thread .

I'm looking to buy a fridge to fit into stock location, but don't want to spend $899. Any suggestions. I'm only looking for a frig not freezer combo

Your gonna pay out the nose for one due to it fitting in the associated hole for a factory mount. I had a '12 Cascadia and found a frig on Ebay for 400.00 (450.00 shipped to me) used and it lasted me about a year and a half before the compressor blew out. To get it fixed would have cost me little over half of what I paid for it, so it wasn't cost effective. I found a cheaper solution for my needs.

So if you don't want to pay that much, you'll have to search the forums here and see what other have come up with that suits your needs.

Look up truckfridge. Online to your home or terminal or the petro Rochelle IL or their shop in Georgetown Ky next the Pilot. Might be some other locations. About 500 and better than dometic. Very solid.

Whatever you do, stay away from any of those stupid drawer style fridges.

I run a t680 with that style and I hate this stupid fridge. This thing takes forever to get anything cold, and kenworth tells me overnight the fridge and bunker heater alone is completely normal to drain the battery down.

Go to a Pete dealer or an international and buy one.

Don’t buy one. It’s a ripoff. Get the smallest mini fridge from Walmart. It should cost about $80. They have bigger mini fridges, but they will take more space in the truck.

Does your truck have an APU? Because if it doesn’t a fridge can drastically shorten the life of your truck batteries. The way around this is to idle your truck or only plug it in when driving.
