I was serious about the Fitz motor thing. Cluck cluck spun a bearing on his Fitz 389 at 350k or so. He had to get a new block because Fitz should have never rebuilt his in the first place.

Ok so now, which bolts need to come off for me to access air filter? I’ve been at it for 30 minutes

Kinda looks like you have a set that drops out the bottom? Have you looked at the bottom?

no I figured out the top kinda pushes down and you twist off. But, I don’t want to start taking bolts off the mirror until I know if I take them off the cab or undo the mirror parts itself( bolts on the cab or disassemble the mirror piece by piece)

Those are vortox cans. The top does not twist off it will lift of after you loosen the long bolt holding it on that comes up from the bottom. The only mirror bolt ya need to remove is the one holding the arm that goes over the top of the can to the cowl, loosen the other end.

I wanna buy the vortex that drops out the bottom someday for mine. Having cab mount mirrors make changing the a pain. You can get the lid off, but filter don't fit out. You must drop canister down, almost off to pull them.

I pushed the top down and twisted it off. Then took off the 5-6 bolt type things that held down the filter..
