    I've heard many times on his show he only stands behind products he's tested and has data on. That is obviously not true. He kind of reminds me of a politician.

    I've said all I need on this topic. I'm out.

    The fass system is backed by Bruce at Pittsburg power. That guy has been building stupid high horsepower engines for decades. If he says it works, it works.

    OK last post.

    If he did as he says he would continue to stand behind the product.

    Pretty sure the Turbo300D was the 1st product he endorsed, like I said before, maybe there is a legal reason he does not talk about it. I don't know..haven't asked him in person.

    Rutherford is a charlatan. Before I quit listening to him I had gotten to the point where I could tell by the tone of his voice & speech patterns whether he actually knew what he was talking about, was grasping at straws trying to come up with a answer for a caller, or was just flat out BS-ing because it pains him so much to admit he doesn't know.

    In the one are where he does have some expertise- accounting & taxes, I believe his knowledge is deep but very narrow. His support for the so called "Fair Tax" annoys me to no end along with his championing of Ayn Rand. When you have to hold up a work of fiction as the justification for why a certain economic system is superior to all other you are on some very shaky ground. Try Adam Smith, von Hayek, even Milton Friedman, anything with some actual scholarship behind it, not a poorly written work of complete fiction.

    He has said two things that have caused him to be banished forever in my world;

    1. "Driving a truck is so simple, you could teach a monkey to do it." Really? Then why do we have such a shortage of drivers and so much turnover in the industry? Why aren't we all just happily monkeying around out here?

    2. "We don't need to stick together" Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me that everything of consequence that we have ever accomplished, from winning our independence as a nation to building the atomic bomb to creating equal rights for women and minorities happened because a large number of people came together, stuck together and worked together for a common goal.

    The reason conditions in the trucking industry are what they are is that we are unable to come together as a group and enlist the support of people outside the industry to help us facilitate the changes we need. We can't even seem to agree on what changes are needed and Kevin Rutherford, by virtue of his political & economic views, is helping sow those seeds of discord. The best thing you can do for the future of the industry is ignore him.

    1. "Driving" a truck is simple... Your not thinking acutely enough to get it. Specifically, driving is easy... Turn-Over rate has nothing to do with the "Drive" portion of the job. Think about all the other responsabilitys of the job, not JUST the driving portion of it...

    2. Another statement your not understanding. He is ONLY referring to the trucking industry, not the whole country. In other words, he is helping drivers build their business independently.

    Maybe I'm not thinking of pulling a box down the interstate, but "Driving" a west coast log truck or an Appalachian coal truck, or any number of other types of "Driving" are not simple enough to be done by monkeys. Even the most basic types of truck driving cannot be done well by monkeys. Even basic truck driving reminds me of basic carpentry, a lot of simple, repetitive tasks that to be performed efficiently over a period of time require a lot more concentration and anticipation than they first appear to require. Almost a zen thing, if you will.

    I am referring to the trucking industry specifically, as I believe is made clear in my post.
