I would run from this guy?Ive done business with him years ago when he was involved with Atbs don't know if he still is,never paid more taxes in whole time I've owned my own trucks thats when they did taxes don't think they still do.they would charge 40 or 50 a month for a profit and loss statement you can do in 15 minutes a month.he will tell you he's on your side better not believe that he's own the company your leased to side if your leasing on to a company.i do have a story about the line they tried to sell me about that.he will sell stuff that he has to know doesn't work Turbo3000 doesn't do anything but he was pushing that crap for$200.I personally would stay away but that's my experience with him and Atbs.hes just making money off O/Os don't think he's cares about anything else.

 

A very good friend of mine went with a accountant who he said was amazing. he paid very little tax and wrote off everything. To me that's a lazy piece of #### who's robbing your money. I went with a by the book accountant and pay way more.

7 years later, I have a small fleet and he's bankrupt after a bad audit. They found nothing during my audit.

So who's making more money?

I think Rutherford accounting is a by the book type. Your call which you use, many owner ops have good luck scamming the government fir years, I just wasn't willing to face the consequences and knew from day 1 I was growing a company and not just doing the owner open thing.

 

Well I'm am glad he worked for you.But I was always curious why he stopped doing taxes?They charge twice what my accountant changed.and like I said paid more that year than I ever had since.But I've never did get someone to look at what they did on why that year was so high.

if kevin Rutherford knows so much why doesn't he still own a truck? Why does his advice change from year to year? Why won't he talk about the signature truck or the signature trailer? Why one year it's only way to make it is being leased to a carrier next year he's gonna help everyone get authority cause that's the only way plus you need to go on ketogenic diet. What happened to the poor people who drank his kook aid and payed $200 plus grand for a flop of a truck? A guy who knows the only way to be successful owning a truck and only way to be healthy.
