Have I said anything confrontational? I simply reply you don't like what I reply cause you can't defend your position

Who cares what some one calls you ? Yes Kevin has a lot of advice on cutting overhead , some say ran for a higher rate . Why not do both ? A bunch of "his" advice works , some of us were doing it long before anyone ever heard of him.
Big_D409, fordconvert, spyder7723 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Not a lease operator as @dustinbrock runs under his own Safety Fitness Certificate (we don't have "authority" nor "numbers" in Canada). It is better described as contract power.
I did the same thing with a half-dozen power units hauling other carrier's trailers and loads. I have also had trucks leased on to carriers running their plates.Last edited: Nov 28, 2016

I understand you have different terms and license in Canada But he is basically a lease operator. Company controls his loads and when and if he hauls and his rate. He's not a owner operator controlling what and where he goes each day. Saying he's a contractor is simply saying he's a lease operator and under the control of the company he is "contracted" i.e. Leased to.

Pittsburgh power, or rather disfiguring they he l gut that owns it bruce malleson had been building big part racing and pull truck diesels longer than I've been alive. I'd be proud to have a bruce built engine.Midnightrider909 Thanks this.

No not really. At least not in every case.
I control my rates. I control what i pull and where i pull it to. I control who i will pull for and negotiate rates directly with them. But i have mercers name on the side of my truck. I've also had my own name on it prior. I have no less control today than i did then. I do have a lot less headache and aggravation tho.Last edited: Nov 28, 2016
