    I find the same issue to be true. It is my belief that it has more to do with where the receiver in the cab is located. Even with new batteries the range is horrible.

    Same here.
    Fresh set batteries and the exact same distance. No change at all.

    I wonder if there is an antenna somewhere that can be adjusted or extended.....like if it's some short wire that could be extended like a rc car..?

    I believe the antenna is in under the fuse panel. I don't think the range is all that great on any of them, at least on the last 2 that I had. They just don't seem to be the same as passenger vehicles.

    My 2015 780 key fob range varies from 1 inch from the drivers door, to 200+ feet away. Nothing I have ever done from new batteries to sacrificing a chicken to the key fob gods has made a difference. I gave up and dont bother trying until im right next to the truck.
