Good news:
I am becoming more self sufficient at my job. I am learning how to not use a GPS and just do customers in the proper order. At my job, you do not need a GPS as my boss and the route driver have been to every single one of our customers.
At this job, you will learn to make life easy on yourself as my boss has told me. This is one such example. While I emptied the route truck, I filled a dewer. After filling two, I filled up my C02 tanks. While filling the 3rd dewer, I restocked the CO2 tanks. I then filled another. At this time I filled some more CO2 tanks. While filling my 4th dewer, I made sure everything was good to go for tomorrow so the route driver could get out nice and early. I did some other chores and left after having lunch.
Bad News:
Yesterday I went to my Ear nose and throat doctor and got some news that answered a question I had been having for a long time. Anyways my doctor told me I have some tissue behind my sinuses. He then told me tonsil removal would probably cure it (I am not like the normal kids whose parents had them removed when they were little). Anyways he told me not to worry. I got an appointment before thanksgiving to determine what we do next. If I do get them out, it will suck as I have no income coming in and my boss will be up to his ears in the work I normally do that relieves him of stress etc... But as always health comes first. I will say that the doctor is very nice and is doing a wonderful job. He does not keep me in the dark etc.. He lets me upfront what I need to do to keep my sinus passages unblocked. In rhe end, my boss has been cool about this and even teased me with the route driver about removing my tonsils the old fashion way.
God Bless and be safe,
KH

Another week is in the books and I am still happy. Had my daily delivery down to a local office and made it back. I then mowed an acre of grass in about 1hr 30min. The funny thing about our mower is it goes through gas like a man who is addicted to caffeine yet it mows through thick grass like it was nothing. Anyways this day went well with a few hiccups there and here but all well. Another week in the books.
KHPanhandle flash and jlind Thank this. -
Sorry about your sinus, having your tonsil's removed is not a big deal, easier when younger yes but still minor surgery in the grand scheme of things, I bet your boss will be more concerned with your health then a few day of inconvenience! It sounds like you have found a good place to work and that the people care more then just a boss employee relationship, I'm sure it will all work out fine.
Keep us posted please and keep up the good work!!!

Edit: Mods can we rename this thread please. I prefer it be called KH's place.

Thanks to the mods for my thread title being changed. I am all about doing the right thing. My parents asked why I would write a letter to my doctor explaining why were changing. It is the right thing to do just like giving your landlord notice before moving out. Finally, I would like to apologize to anyone whose feelings I may have offended in the past couple months. Good night and god bless.

Well guys another week is in the books. This week was absolutely dead. How so?? I only sold to two customers out of four on my Friday route sheet. Same thing with my Tuesday route. Not a lot of emergency deliveries either.
On the plus side, I did find a customer who has a 35 cent wing Sundays while doing Fridays route. Also, this cold weather makes filling tanks a cakewalk compared to hot weather. It is is easier to work outside and you usually stay cool. I ordered a new computer game yesterday night that will hopefully keep me entertained for a couple months.

Well guys the weekend is over. I for one wish apartment complexes would offer more services for people 55 and over that do not need nursing homes or nurses. I say this because I see how older people get neglected and go helpless at times when they need help. I helped a handicapped lady with her laundry and no one bothered to show her how to operate the machines etc..I have thought of operating grocery service for seniors who can not go out and any other service they might need.
Thats all my ranting for now. Till then be safe.
KHjlind Thanks this.
