Right now it is dead. I am lucky to catch a Halloween Saturday shift. Overall it is going good. I just want things to pick up even though the economy is bad.

Well guys today went good. I got called to be in at 9am at around 7am by Larry. He thought I was a sleep. Anyways I went in and filled some tanks for us and a particular customer. I then got to out on deliveries and this made my day. My first stop involved a 50lb CO2 tank to a restaurant I like and know the owners of. I noticed their back up was low and was able to supply them with one as I had a spare on the truck. They thanked me for helping them out. I will say it and say it over again; I love to help people out especially if I can help a restaurant avoid problems. It is a win win for me and my company. Larry will keep them as a customer and I get recognized for keeping them serviced. I then went to two other customers and cam back to the shop.
Larry then drove me over to the truck place where I picked up my truck that I normally use. She passed inspection (yeah baby yeah) with flying colors. She goes back in on Monday for just normal wear and tear stuff. Anyway I made one last delivery to a customer and came back. I then processed my deliveries and left. So far I have got 15 hours this week which is good.

Well guys this week is over. It is the weekend of candy, costumes and skeletons: It is Halloween and we are selling a lot of dry ice. My job today was to clean our 50 ton C02 storage tank with bleach. I put in 28 hours this week and had a blast.
When I needed to make more money, my boss gave me the hours and started having me do extra chores around the shop. In addition, he started having me do another route to relieve pressure off the The Australian, our hard working route driver. I swear this guy is Australian as he has an accent like one. Yet he claims he is a Floridian. Anyways I did manage to sell most of the truck in route sales. Thats all for now. If you have questions about my job and what I do, please ask away.

I already know how much I will need for Tuesday and Friday. I also know what to expect this week with the exception of the unexpected which come up frequently.
Mods: Would KH"s palace of love be okay for a title of my thread??

Monday October 31st
My day began with Larry calling me in regards to where I put the keys to the F350 as he needed to take it to the shop. I gave him the location and ended the phone call. Five minutes later Larry called giving me a choice of working 9-1pm or 1-6pm since it was raining. Being half awake and having worked in the rain on Saturday and it would be dry later in the day; I said the latter. Larry then complimented me on job I did and ended the phone call.
I showed up for work at 1245 and began doing light stuff. I made sure we had enough dry ice for my Tuesday run and any unexpected customers who might buy a large quantity. I did have a former elementary teacher visit and it was joyful reunion once I reminded her who I was.
Now for the part that made me tear up. Larry and I discussed my past. I told him I am not particular proud of it and the mistakes I made. I told him everything and he made some particular points. I felt less nervous now that I trusted him in telling him my past than I would have had had we had a conversation like this when I first started. We went over it and I commented that for the first time I felt like I was on my way to being stable. Larry defined that for me and told me some nice comments and points. He said he would not hold my past against me. I felt relieved and sad. This man has been honest with me since day one whether I like it or not and I have not in regards to this. This took a big weight off my shoulders.
Have we had disagreements?? Yes. Have we had different opinions on things?? Yes. I told him that the trust he has in me makes me a better employee and that makes me happy along with the family atmosphere in this business. I work with two of the best people you could ask for. Our route driver and manager have treated me with respect, have said nothing about my disability in regards to whether it affects my work. They encourage me to not let it affect my work and for me to never give up. They took an interest and have led down to a path of success. They both have helped me build my confidence level. I thank Larry and The Australian for that. Saying this makes me tear up because I found people that actually care for me and like my work. They gave me a second chance. For that I thank them and would do anything to help them if they needed it.
