Choice 'C', slow down, pay attention to your surroundings, and anticipate that people are going to do stupid things.
This is pure BS. Note the lack of ANY detail whatsoever.

LoSt_AgAiN and Dale thompson Thank this.

Learn the rules of the road. It's a dangerous place and your life depends on it. I see large carrier drivers doing this every day. They're putting others at risk and themselves by committing such acts. If they have an accident and/or kill someone because they made a bad lane change they're in deep bs. However, if someone fails to yield the right of way while improperly merging the carrier would be absolved.

    MAINTAIN YOUR LANE....
I took a few years off from the road and did pilot escort for oversize loads moving to the oil patch in Alberta.
We were moving 40' w x 40'h tanks on goldhofer platform trailers at night with a gross wt over a million lbs.
Being a night move,we had the RCMP police working with us for traffic control and the officer I was teamed with was a commercial vehicle accident investigator.
The one thing that surprised me was after one of my many stories of people pulling out in front of the truck , cutting me off etc etc...he basically said the best way to not be found at fault was ..
    1 - make sure you're not SPEEDING
    2- stay in your lane
3 - (the best) don't touch your brakes until you make contact with the fool who rolled the dice
Skid marks before impact leaves room for an argument that you could have possibly avoided said collision.
Harsh decision and split second reaction required...
Its always in the back of my mind but you have to be looking a head for all possible scenarios out there every time you turn the key regardless if your leaving the yard or your ten minutes from your destination.
    Safe travels out there...
