No, but I think you'd have difficulty finding a school bus w/o air brakes. I doubt you're going to get much better at backing a semi via intermittent and repeated CDL testing, seems like throwing good money after bad.

There's more of a future in driving a truck than driving a bus IMHO. Figure out a way to pay for your 3rd attempt to pass your drive test on the big rig. Is the school giving you a time limit for when you have to come up with the dough for the next test?

In some states at least, I believe a S endorsement is required along with the Passenger.

I have stated this before, but, if you want to back like a pro cheaply, get a pickup truck with a utility trailer, and take it to a big quasi empty parking lot and practice with only using the mirrors and pavement lines. Do not stop until you can put that trailer anywhere you want without thinking about your hands. It will become just walking....called "seat time..."

It is the exact same concept as a tractor trailer. Actually a little more difficult, as the shorter the trailer, the quicker it can move laterally.....

I would not show up at a school spending a of money, without having this muscle memory down cold...

Even interstate bus drivers aren't safe... I don't know if you heard of the bus that was heading to Arizona from California where this guy and girl attacked the bus driver while he was driving eastbound on the 10 in the desert. He was able to keep from totaling the bus but it still sustained some damage. Luckily some other passengers stepped in to help handle the guy.

I will try 1 more time at the school only cause my older sister will give me money to retest, but If I fail... My plan is to get my cdl B at the school bus company then bail on them once I get cdl then get a job in Panther or FedEx driving there straight trucks OTR.

Good advice! If it were me, that's what I would do. Millis Transfer would be my first choice.

SRT furnishes hotel and 3 meals a day.

    Prime Inc.

    Roehl Transport

    Swift Transportation

CRST is teams training with an 8 month obligation.

Dear person. I hope you take this in the sprit intended. Large trucks are not for everyone. Now, you must ask yourself, Do I want to risk killing people over money? You failed 2 times. Tells me your not prepared, your trainer did a lousy job, or it's not for you. I can't be a secretary. There's things were not meant to do.

I almost throw up every day at the thought I might hurt some one. I provide a service. If I can't do it well enough I need to re think my life. Been doing it 35 years. I have seen things you don't want to see. You need to know, this is not a game. Sometimes it involves dead people. Part of Trucking. Make sure, because Bus drivers see it too.

probably why some buses these days have glass cages around the driver seat

and saddle extremely true, I probably have seen more horrible accidents in a year heck maybe even a month than an average driver might see in their lifetime. Trucking is dangerous especially with some of the idiots I have seen behind the wheels that should of never got a cdl.

For all that care, my cancer is loosing the war. I may even live. Remission is a good word. Bears are angry, never find a way to write me up. Looks like I will be here to help others a while longer. I use Booze to stop the pain. I hope Marijana might be in my future. Might have to curb my truck till it clears up. May have to move to Coldarado! Hope not. Love the people, hate the weather! Some prayers wouldn't hurt. Give your all, till you can't. Then give some more. I'm an American Trucker.
