I can explain this. Really there are only two major differences in the Century's and Columbia's. One is the dash gauge's. The Columbia has a single gauge cluster in a square looking box type style as the Century has all induvidual round gauges. The only other difference is the hood. The Columbia has a slightly higher angle, not much so you really can't notice unless you look closely and the profile of the top of the hood is wider width, different shapped rounded fenders instead or "boxed" syle like on a Cnetury, head light's and grill. Everything else on these truck are the exact same in size and shape. Only differnece is options that a company picks that makes them different like having cabnet door's vs. net's. The dash and all is the same with once again the exception of option's ordered with the truck. Personally, I like the Century better because it's a little (not much) but a little better made than the Columbia's.
Hope this help's to clear this up.

New; I can tell you that KLLM will love you for wanting to go up to NY. As far as your question goes, don't think that if you are near your "ol' stomping grounds" that you'll have time to see family and friends. What I mean by this is once KLLM finds out where a Driver likes to run, Sometimes they keep them away from that area. Why I don't know. But I do have a solution(s) for you that the majority of the time works:
If you get a trip to the Buffalo area (I've been there many times in last 7 yrs with KLLM), there is a macro on the QualComm to use to tell them when you'll be available for your next trip. It's called "PTA": Potencial Time of Availability. Use it when you are getting unloaded, not before. They will ask questions why you are asking and your answers better be good or you won't be seeing your family and friends.
There is another macro on the QualComm used for a "Drive-by" or "Timeoff" that you could use. But I can guarantee you that if you use this one and ask for a "Drive-by", you won't get it. Even though "Drive-by" is there, they rarely ever grant them.
And lastly, there was a time (don't know if they still have it or not) when a Driver could submit a location to use for Timeoff giving a total of 3. One being a Terminal or Yard, Two is at your residence, and Three being anywhere else; at a relative, friend, a favorite place, etc, etc etc. The only drawback to this is that once that third location was picked, it can never be changed. I have NEVER given them a third location cause I knew I would want to change it.
Hope this helps. -
