Good luck Haulin'##### I have two of there drivers that live by me and they both have nothing but good to say about them. They have nice equipment to and tend to have good home time to.
I will graduate from school in March and am staring to have a closer look at companies. Werner is at our school every few weeks as is TMC. From what I've read TMC just doesn't have the miles right now, and Werner? Thanks for all the info on KLLM.
Well I finished my training, turns out my trainer was a real pric! I was just an extra log book 4 him. Once he tryed to kick me off his truck because I refused to drive and wasn't leagally able on my log. When I threatened to report him, he changed his tone. That was one of many problems wth him. Then the last 2 wks of my training he tryed 2 be my best friend. I let him believe all was 4given and reported his ### when I got back. The crap he pulled got him canned from the training program. Now he has to work 4 his money like the rest of us. So if you get a bad trainer, just remember, it's only 6 wks and u never have 2 talk 2 him again. Bite your tongue and let the company know how it went when u get back. Anyway... I drove 4 a month and got 2500-3000 miles per wk. The money was ok but I wasn't satisfied so I went to the lease-purchase program. Now the money is much better. So far I've been getting 3000 miles per wk or better. I know some ppl have bad exp with lease programs but KLLM has a good program in my opinion. I bring home 1000 per wk or better and I will own the truck in 21 mos. Will try to get back 2 this thread more often but don't hold me 2 it.
What are you netting after all of your costs? How much is the truck lease a week? I have been told by many that if you have a bad trainer, you can call the office and request a new one. That is what I am going to do.
Hey Haulin, I see you're from my neck of the woods. Where'd you go to driving school? I've been accepted at MGCCC George County and as long as a class makes up, I'll be there next summer. Right now I'm driving a school bus for Long Beach and will do that until I go to driving school. Anyway, I read through your posts about your experiences with KLLM and, as it turns out, KLLM is one of the companies I'm interested in. Anything at all you can pass along will help me. Good luck and continued success! Oldnew....
I went to CDI in Saucier, its a 3 wk school and you have to be there all day. If you don't live close they will ut you up in a motel. I got a grant through the emp office, which is the best way to go if you qualify.
Thanks Haulin'! You have a couple more weeks now with KLLM since your last post, except for the one you just posted. Are you still happy with your decision to go with KLLM?
