    If it was me....yeah. I'd stick with company. You'll have health insurance after however many days. Taxes taken out so you'll receive a refund at year's end. And not worrying about making a huge truck payment every week. From what I understand, this company, like many others, sells the dream of being a business owner and your own rig. A real business owner goes into business to make money and acquire assets (the rig). At the rates per mile they, and most others pay, along with the fact that you have no choice in what you're hauling where and for how much, success isn't possible. You'll suffer. Like many before you and many after. A business owner makes descions.With these types of situations, you'll take what you're given and hope for the best. That's not my personal idea of being a successful businessman. It may be yours. But not mine.

    OTR = over the road
    LTL = less than truckload

    LTL is mainly handled by those type companies such as estes, old dominion or most any company that pulls pups or 28ft doubles. But some OTR companies pull LTL on there own trailers for a shipper. Or pull a set of doubles for a company.

    side note stay away from lease purchase programs with PTL (Paschal Truck Lines), CR England, or basicly any start up company. Or mega company or you will get shafted. There are some smaller outfits with a lease purchase program that can work. But if it were me I would buy flat out cash $$$. Or put $$$ down and get the rest financed thru the lot or bank.

    FFE bought Lisa truck lines. Then later KLLM bought FFE. The DFW is filled with cold storage warehouses. Then Houston has all chemical plants with a 1000 different tanker companies. I bring this up because there are plenty of company jobs.

    Austin is close enough to San Antonio and New Braunfels to get on with HEB or a oil field company. All I'm saying is weigh out ya options before going ahead with a lease. I'm not trying to talk you out of it. But I just talked to a guy that did what your saying your going to do. It didn't work for him like it doesnt for so many. Now he's doing a lease purchase with uber.

    Just look at all these youtube truckers and see how many have failed with a lease purchase. Ad even some at KLLM!!!!
