Is Kllm a good company to work with starting out?

    It depends....on who you ask.

KLLM is of course a reefer fleet.

Some here on the Forum think that reefer is nothing less than God's gift to the trucking world. Apparently (with them) -- if you aren't pulling a reefer trailer, you're just missing out.

Others (like myself)....would not wish reefer duty on our worst enemy -- much less someone we actually cared about.

Read through some of the older "reefer" threads here on the Forum (do a Forum search using the term, "reefer")....& educate yourself on its pro's & con's.

That way -- you can be an informed decision-maker.

Yes, excellent company to start out with. Many drivers stay there for years.
KLLM is a good company for solo drivers and team drivers.

Also, consider this -- "KLLM" is pronounced, "kill 'em"

    Now....what do you think? :p :D

Search my history; I’m still happy here but wouldn’t mind making a lil more. I got bumped off my better dedicated acct and for the amount of actual work I do… the new one isn’t bad, but it’s not as high mileage as I’d like. Most of our dedicated fleets have wait lists again, even Midwest regional which had been my backup.

Supposedly our otr fleet is getting pretty consistent miles atm and the drivers I’ve spoken to on it are happy; one even claimed to be making about 35% more then I am on avg per week, but they are running his 70 out.
