And just some quick words of advise as I am currently a kllm driver... try you best to get a dedicated account like Saputo or Tyson I ran otr for about 8 months and it was up and down as soon as I was offered a dedicated account I took at and have been doing really good ever since no check less than 1100 except for the week I would take off time. If you choose to do the lease which is what they want everyone to do you will need to be willing to stay out at least 3 weeks at a time with 4 days off for the month. It's a grind but if your on the road making money I guarantee you will see you bank balance climb really quickly.

 

With training do they give you a place to stay if you drive instead of take the bus

 

If you mean school yes they have on campus housing if your going in Lancaster you have your own personal hotel room on campus they feed you and get you where you need to be. They by far have the best schooling setup in comparison to other schools. I'm not sure about there other schools but Lancaster was a great experience it's very intense and fast paced but if your focused you'll get through it with no problems

 

Another good thing about there school is you won't pay back a dime as long as you stay the whole year. Other companies deduct the cost of school from your check every week

Im studying the cdl study guide. I have some questions for those that went through training

 

I went through school and training

 

If your talking about when your on the road with a trainer you won't come home for most likely 6 weeks some trainers stay out for 3 then come back out but you have to complete 6 weeks of over the road training

 

Thats fine i was just asking for some advice about what to pack and bring

 

Bring enough clothes to last a week and of course hygiene items you'll get paid 500 once you get your cdl another 500 they day you leave with your trainer and you'll get paid 500 a week during training
