Please don't disregard others experiences. It is true. Knight does not care if their drivers break down over and over again for the same reason and them NOT fix the problem. Knight does not care if you have layovers for more than 48 hours consistently. Knight does not care if they send you to pick up a load 250 miles away and that load has been canceled days before, you then get to stay there for 2 days with no other load available to get you out of there. Knight does not care if you bring home $250 or less paycheck consistently so as to never be able to make a living. The decision makers at Knight will someday have to pay for their unethical behavior. It's just not soon enough!![]()

Don't hijack the thread, negatives belong on the BAD board.
Surfer Joe Thanks this. -

tennisluvr3211 Thanks this. -
Did I say he wasn't speaking the truth???
I said there is a place for positive and negative, the negative goes on the BAD board. That is the way this forum is set up to work. Go back and read what I said.Surfer Joe Thanks this. -
Sorry folks for the delay in updates. I forgot my charger at the house my last time in. This update will be brief as I'm only home to leave for funeral in Georgia.
My numbers for the second week are as follows; 98+23+104+151+308+208+449+181+31= 1553 +$48.00 local. I will say I refused a load going to California of 600 miles because of my stupidity in listening to other drivers in the terminal chatter of how they were stuck in CA. 10-14 days doing nothing because no freight. Only collecting layover pay daily.
I thought I was getting the hose because it was a weekend dispatcher & not my normal DM.
Monday my DM said he would keep me rolling or deadhead me out to keep me working if I wanted to move freight.
That said this week I'm at; 65+31+35+15+234+187+603= 1990 +$48 local pay + $62 detention.
Let me add a HUGE POSITIVE at least for me. When I got the call from home my nephew was killed, I called my DM on his cell about 9pm. He got the ball rolling to get me bumped up for a load home. When Phoenix called me and told me they were taking over getting me home they said we'll either get you a load ASAP or deadhead me 300 miles to Phoenix to get me on a plane.
By time I had collected my thoughts a load was given to me preloaded & 15 miles from where I was sitting.
My hats off big time for Knight in not hesitating one second on getting me home.
Phoenix/Fontana Terminals are clean with comfort & hot showers. -
First, let me say sorry for your loss!
I'm very glad and surprised that the company responded so efficiently to your need to get you home.
So you are averaging $500-$600 BEFORE taxes and other deductions??? How many hours a week are you REALLY working??? How long are you away from home?
Is that paycheck worth what you have to endure to earn it? Only you can answer that question, but after 11 months of Knight, I was relieved when they decided it was time for me to move on.
I wish you the best, keep us posted on your progress or lack thereof. -
1026, very sorry for your loss. Prayers to you and your family during this time.
Sincerely -
Sorry, if I can save another driver from going through what I went through? I will post it EVERYWHERE I get the chance. I am a brand new driver and a woman that broke down 5 times within a 14000 mile time frame for the same reason and Knight did not fix the problem. Knight could have fixed it but they chose not too. So imagine yourself in this situation or imagine your mom or sister in this situation. The truth is the truth. To me this is criminal.

Thank you all for your condolences.
My first week was great. My second, not so well, but I had a hand in it. My third has got a kink because of family issues. I anticipate it to open...and wide.
If I can't average between $800 & $1000+ a week after taxes....I'll get some work that will. I'll give it some time so my DM & I can learn each other & get completely on the same page. -
Sorry for your loss 1026! For the company to respect you the way they did to get you home, says a lot for me. It seems as thought they do care about their drivers. If this company was as bad as some say, it looks as though they are trying to change for the better. I am considering knight as well. If so, I start orientation a week from Monday. Thanks for the updates!
For the people who had bad experiences, how long ago did you work for knight?
