I see on their website that you can do either one of a few options on home time, weekly ,7 on/ 7 off, 14 on/ 7 off, 21 on/ 7 off. are they really that "liberal" with there home time? i am a rookie/old driver needing retraining and this would work out PERFECT for me! my wife doesn't want me to go back out on the road but the call of the road is driving me INSANE! I would like to go to work for this company if their home time, rider/ spouse policy was as Great as it looks on their website.
I have not been over the road in about 8 1/2 years, so i am thinking about going back to driving school and applying for a position with KNIGHT.
any and all good/bad experiences with this company are invited and helpful!
thanks in advance for your welcome information

You would probably have to go through Squire for a refresher. Once hired on and doing some solo time after 90 days, then you could have your spouse ride with you. They do have the on/off days. Most OTR drivers will go 2-3 weeks out and home for 3-4 days. They are full time drivers. The 7 on 7 off is more of a casual driver. You won't get the same truck every time. If you don't mind slip seat you can do that. Me, I am a local on a dedicated account as you see in my pic. The benefits are ok. Hope this helps.

i worked there a yr. til may 28.
they do let you work the schedule you mentioned. i did it. it was pretty gay though. trying to find a truck each time back. they really only respect the people who work the regular 14-2 , 21-3, 28-4 type ####t. they will call you a ''casual'' driver or ''part time'' driver. -
Only rider you can take is a spouse and you have to be legally married. I was not able to take my girlfriend with me.
