The newbes don't listen. It's like telling people not to swim in shark infested waters. They do it anyway.
Let them learn the hard way.

    WOW!!!!
    Free Food!!
Three Days FREE at the fabulous RED ROOF INN!!! (Honey....it's much nicer than our doublewide!)
The Driver/Safety/Vasoline Director Manager Dude came down from the mountaintop.....took you out to dinner......
    .....and even PAID for it??
    UNBELIEVABLE!!

    ....now for the bad news....

....in less than 3 months, this newbie driver remembering the "good times, free dinners and Red Roof Inn" as he sits shivering, hands shaking, staring at his map in his cab after dropping a load, in sub-freezing temperatures, somewhere north of Nebraska, lookin for either TV dinners, Top Ramen or Cup "O" Noodles on sale (10 for $10.00) at the local Wal-Mart since his pay at Knight won't afford him the luxury of those fine, super-tasty $1.50 double-cheese burgers at the local Micky D's that the CR England drivers get to feast on.....

Yea rollover I seen the add on craigslist as well. I knew it was knight before I finished reading it all. Knight IS a joke. I went to orientation just last month [K.C.] Spent the nite 4 days instead of just the 3 just to get sent home. I hadden't driven in over 2 years so my road test was rough. They said unfortunally they have no training program [ even tho they sent 1 guy out with a trainer for a month cuz he only had 5 mo OTR]. It was such a waist of time and money on both them and me. They suck and after talking to some of their drivers up there it was probably a blessing but since I've been off the road for so long I was hoping to be able to get on with them. Hey if you know of anyone in the SPR.area that would give me a shot post it on here, I'll catch it on here latter. Thanks for your posts an keep on truckin. 9mm out.

Ah oh, Knighton's back. Where ya been? Looking for an empty trailer?

Knighton's biggest problem is what to do with all the cash he's raking in from Knight, lol!

I want to hear about this new higher pay scale. Maybe a nice lawsuit about false advertising is needed.

And 2500 miles a week? Kevin Knight HIMSELF was in trucking mag not that long ago saying the average for his trucks are a little over 7,000 miles a month.

Honestly you shouldn't be getting 2,500 miles a week with Knight, they are, after all, a short haul company, at OTR ppm pay :biggrin_2559:

Says you? Sounds credible to me. The thousands who quit OTR trucking monthly can't be all wrong.

HMMMM??? 7,000 miles a month??? Is that all???I had to get with my last company 10,000 just to get the bonus which we all did except for those whiney cry babies that "I don't go there" singers sang!

Let me do some simple 5th grade mathematical figuring here.....ah 7,000 miles divided by hmmm 4 weeks in a month equals hmmmm (while pushing buttons on a calculator so he doesn't screw up as 5th grade math is soooo hard) HEY THAT'S 1,750 a WEEK?!?!?!?! At lets give this BFI a benifit of the doubt and say $.30 a mile comes to a whopping total of ...DRUM ROLL PLEASE!.... $529.00 a week before taxes, medical insurance AND that per diem!
Hello! That's embarrassing! I'm on disability and I get $1552 a month ONLY because my W-2's for the last 7 years never were below $40,000 a year!. I'm actually at the TOP of the scale! And this is pay? Now Knight does NOT put their CPM pay on their website or CL as it has to be embarrassing for the recruiter to sit there with no calls due to that fact! They just fill in the numbers to prove that CL ads bring in X number of calls a day at almost no money depending on where the ad originates from! Free is great for them!
I'm calling Stephanie Tomorrow to "ask what the pay is, if per diem is opt out and if they want a couple of years of experience behind the wheel? What do you think the answers will be? And I bet Knighton will be sending links to this post and calling before she can hit her chair in the morning so they can be prepared! ROFLMAO. At least I'll get to do something more fun than looking at this monitor tomorrow!:biggrin_25526: What who me on TTR? Never heard of it!!!:biggrin_2559:
