Fiddle Sticks...Did you find a job with any trucking company yet? Just wondering if your still looking since you are still posting on here. If not i hear CR England, Swift, Stevens take recent graduates as long as they graduated within the past month. Gotta get your feet wet with some bottom feeder company eventually.

This is just like being on the road and listening to the CB.
Everyone is telling everyone else how wrong they are.
It never ends. -

In case you are still trying to find a company that takes recent grads, about 4 years ago i went to Crete Carrier and they have a good training program. Was with them for 2.5 years and when i left i was at .42 a mile. I believe once your done with training they start you at .37 i believe, and if you live out west they will most likely put you on their westren regional which is 11 states. I left due to i wanted to be home more but all in all they area good company especially for new drivers to industry. I made a little over 50 thousand my last year there and the first year i was trained i made i do believe 44 thousand. Training was 8 weeks, no teaming one on one with trainer and training was 600 a week.

As of this repsonse, no, I have not found any employment yet. I may have to go back to couriering/expediting in my van to raise some funds as I am going dry.
I have a 'contracting' sort of third party arrangement application in for a company the does Estes work. Another iron in the fire is team-driving with a O/O for Fed Ex Ground; I will only accept this if the Chicago to Hartford, CT route is the one I will be driving. He is trying to bait-and-switch me to a Portland, OR route. The former, I am home four nights per week so I may sleep, the latter is some eight days on the road--wrong answer. I can go 72 hours without good REM sleep (sorta), but not 73.
