From what I've read the O/P is looking at becoming an O/O now, probably gave up on this thread since it wasn't what he wanted to hear :?:dontknow:

I don't think so Superpet39. If fiddle was running dry on funds before, then he wont be able to be a O/O. You have to have not only good credit, but funds to back it with. Maybe CRE will lease him a truck so he can get started on training rookies and make some real good money!:biggrin_2559:

    I dont think so drozzer

remember he's "too smart" to WORK for a bottom feeder, being unemployed must pay better.

click the link in my above post, and inform him, god knows he needs some guidance.:biggrin_2559:

And to think that all my updating my status did was to get my heclkers out from under their rocks.

Reading comprehension, as a whole here on TTR, leaves much to be desired to say the least.

Superduper, a reasonable person reading my O/O thread will be able to tell in the first sentence that I am asking if the finanical payoff is worth it to be an O/O. At no time before twelve months did I say I would pull the trigger on being an O/O or F/P. Seriously, if someone like you can make money, then anybody should be able to and that really makes me frustrated that I am not.

Hi snorrzer, have a nice hibernation? You have not been around in a while.

    -------------------

I will make sure to look you two up if I land an non-bottom feeder gig and throw it in your faces. :biggrin_255:

And it is not that I am 'too smart', I have no success so how smart can I be. I have however 'been-there-and-done-that' with working as an O/O (non-trucking) and not getting paid. Ain't doing it no more if I can help it. I make no apologies that this disappoints you.

First of all, i said you were looking into it. ;)

as far as "someone like me" able to make money, and that frustrates you..... now thats funny (not even knowing what you meant by "someone like me")

what i will tell you about me is: I taught myself how to drive, paid for my own DOT Physical and dmv test (even though my employer would have done all that for me), and had my permit all of about 1 week, have all my endorsements, and most important of all
I PAID MY DUES (when i got my "A" i went from $10.50/hr to a whopping $14/hr) i had to PROVE TO MY EMPLOYER that besides passing some written test, that i knew how to drive. I never once complained about being the low man on the totem pole when EVERY OTHER DRIVER CLASS A DRIVER AT MY JOB WAS MAKING $18.40 MINIMUM (all the way up to $23.10)

I had every right to complain but for what, i ran through the hoops, and when i went back in (about 9 months later) and said it was time to talk, since i had done EVERYTHING that was asked of me - THEN and only then was i brought up to the level of those other guys i mentioned...... I think if i remember right, i still grossed 59k my first year. Point is dude, until you realize you need to pay your dues first (whatever that may mean in your particular case), you're going to have a hard time beginning (let alone suceeding lol) in this industry.

First of all I will thank you to use my screen name proper. I have not made fun of yours so you can due me that respect. Also, I have been around. Just because you haven't seen me on this forum(or any other Knight forum) doesn't mean anything. I have a life outside this site. I also, like you, read other forums and comment on some of them as well. From the beginning of this whole ordeal I have tried to be nice and offer up what advice I can give. The fact that you stated you were "running dry" and then ask O/O's if it is a financial payoff is not helping your situation.

The fact of the matter is you know what being a O/O is all about as you stated previously with your van and messaging service. You have to spend money to make money. Believe me I would love to be a O/O but I don't have the business smarts for it. I would never ever in a million years do a Fleece Purchase from a company. You have been on here long enough to have read some of those forums. They just don't benefit the driver.

I don't mean to "heckle" you. I just thought it was interesting that you were looking into that road. Also I guess that you are taking the job with that container outfit? If so good luck and watch out for DOT. Finally if you do decide to work for a bottom feeder such as the one I work for, then yes please do look me up when ever you get to TX. I am not disappointed that you are not making apologies either. At least you are doing the research and not just jumping in head first. You know darn well that there is no sure fire way of making money fast.

    superpet39 Thanks this.

The problem with fiddle sticks is that he's still wearing his training diapers so to speak in this industry...I can see why he can't find work...

just give the prospective employer 5 min to investigate him just like the rest of us has observed & they will see what the rest of us have confirmed....

he's a constant whiner who wants big $$$ for little or no work...until he grows up and learns that life is not full of handouts...he'll remain where he's at right now....

    Unemployed & unemployable..

    Fiddle stix.

    Stop analyzing things so much.

    Are you scared?

    Nervous?

    Apply.

    Get into a truck.

    Drive.

    Get paid.

    Simple.

No monster money in this industry.

But there is one thing that many industries don't have.

    Job security.
    Solid paycheck every single week.

I love that about my job. Not many can hang with it.

basically this company is the worst, most shady bunch of liars i have ever had to deal with and i'm glad i'm not affiliated with them at this time . i remember at orientation when these ####### were giving a speech about how some driver died while micro sleeping at the wheel, and about how the owner was crying when he heard the news... and i was thinking, that this was the most staged, ridiculous crock of lies i have ever heard in my life.
