with knight your only as good as your driver manager. if your getting stranded like that then talk to the terminal manager. i went threw 3 managers before i found one that would keep me busy. i got home every two weeks 99% of the time out of columbus oh terminal. put in a request to run west to a city or area of your choice and unless your dm is a prick you will get it. not as soon as you would like but you will. oh and you have to drop your truck at your domicile or it will count as abandonment. you sign a contract during orientation stating that.

im by no means stating knight is a good company but if you need a job or exp they will serve their purpose.

So classically stated especially 'if within 200 miles from home'. Dallas is not exactly the hinterland. Uncanny to say the least and unethical is probably more applicable.

I am considering signing on with Knight out of Columbus Ohio driving refer trucks. I want to stay out on the road as much as possible and hometime is not important to me much at all. I have a CDL A but am fresh out of school. Anyone have any thoughts or advice?

I'll make this as short and simple as I can:

    DON'T DO IT!
