Flat out you're just a LAZY driver...no bones about it!!!...don't call yourself a professional because professionals don't do this type of lazy behavior.Blind Dog Thanks this. -
I am a professional driver. I get paid to drive period. If the company wanted me to take trailers to the shop. They should pay me for it. I am kind and courteous. Just don't ask me to waste time at the shop when I can be out on the road making money. On the other hand...You seem to be the kind that wants something for nothing. Now who is the lazy one???
I work for the money I get!
Sorry for my tactfulness friend, It's a money thing.pilottravel2002 Thanks this. -
101 ways to leave an MT. (5)
I was dropping an MT in Texas. The meat plant security told me my load was not READY. Oh no! this is Sunday before thanks giving. I sign in and I am nice to the plant staff. They told me they have a loaded trailer ready to go. What release number is it, maybe dispatch will let me take it? 7xxxxxxxxxx2. I went to my truck waited five minutes, went back inside and gave them the release number. I hooked on and took it out of the yard and called dispatch and told them I picked up the wrong load by accident.
On Wednesday night before thanksgiving I got a call on my cell phone. the meat plant told me my load is ready to be picked up. I was snug as a bug in a rug at home for thanksgiving. Another poor driver lost his load to me and had to get that load.
It is always good to be nice to the shippers. -
Well what else could you say?

I never can figure out why you would steal an MT from a main DC that ships loads to stores to go pick up a Cheap and Heavy load. I mean really, stealing trailers from Ikea or Amazon or *whatever store pays more money per mile* to go pick up a ultraheavy CH Robinson load which pays a huge percent less per mile. Somehow getting a $1.13 a mile 46,000 pound load is better than getting a $4.00 a mile plus fuel surcharge 20,000 pound load.
As for the trailer knightmares, I love hooking up to a trailer that just got serviced at a shop, only to find a completely ruined tire on it. I swear it's easier to get a Mormon out of their magically underpants than a set of tires from Knight. -
