Yes, he was calling them for years and getting frustrated. But as a driver I think I should do right by others if I can reasonably accommodate them. It was getting seriously close to becoming a parking problem for them.

I bet,how many werner trls were there I wonder.

You only mentioned Boise. I know we have a Reefer yard there. Which east coast yard? I had heard they may have closed the Syracuse yard? you didn't spell it out. As far as Ikea, what may not be doing good on your side of the country may not be the same on the other. Accounts come and go regardless of managers tanking them or not. If the company is not making a profit off the account then yes tank it. If they are then keep servicing that customer. That sugar contract could have just been a short thing or another company under bid on it.

you get what you pay for....
i can't count how many times a customer has dumped a carrier for a cheaper one & then come screaming back in a matter of months wanting to have the 1st carrier back hauling for them again.futuretruckertx and drozzer69 Thank this. -
As far as Ikea goes, I was at Lebec CA yesterday, and you would have thought it was a Knight terminal, what with all the Knight trucks going in and out. I actually had to drag an MT 90 miles and drop it. (And then BT back to the yard for a Lowe's swap to El Centro.)

It was about 2 dozen or less but half of the oldest ones are gone now. Was just a few still sitting there for years left, maybe two or three. I just remember that all the old ones weren't all gone.

i just left that hellhole KNIGHT last month, after busting my ### for them for a year.
you are correct about the route suggestion. it is usually correct, but it does sometimes spit out a way the hell out of the way route. then I look at my atlas, or with my phone, and of course KNIGHT's old ### 1990's qualcomms have no navigation, I bought a Rand McNally Truck GPS before I began working there. So maybe you could do that.
The fuel, safety, and production bonus, they advertise, is a total scam.
I got the production bonus 1 time (3rd Qtr 2012)
never got the fuel bonus, even though I avg. 6.5 mpg, and never idled my truck at night.
last time, i asked, in 1st qtr 2013, my DM even admitted, out of the 200+ swinging dick's at the Gulfport, MS terminal, only 2 drivers got it! interesting huh.
also the recruiting propaganda says raises after six months.
LIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES
that's right. you ain't gonna get a raise til after 1 year. then it is only half a cent.
i would have never gone here had I known better.
.33 cents. -
