Now that I read that case, yes Cal. Nothing to do with TX. As far as that goes, I hope the drivers get what they are fighting for. Cal is so broke anyway I am not surprised that companies don't pay people properly anyway.

Sure, he said a mouthful. Unfortunately, it was complete, utter nonsense.

You rookies aren't going to tell us veterans anything we don't already know. I'm surprised y'all haven't figured that out yet. So you make $900 gross after working 70 hours a week. Big deal. That's not really impressive. That's actually peanuts compared to what other places will pay you.

Yep, that's right fellas, i made $900 in one week, net. Sometimes my net is all the way up to $1200. How does that McDonald's theme song go? "im lovin it" There are plenty of things i can complain about at knight laties and gentlemen, but pay ain't one of them. This California boy is singing that ole McD's song all the way to the bank. lol

Like I said, you're selling yourself short driving for a starter outfit. I'd be willing to bet you'd sing a different tune when you see what some other companies pay for doing the same work you do for less hours. But whatever floats your boat I guess.

How much does Knight pay it's local haulers? 13/hr?

I know, i know, some companies pay really good. Mostly the union outfits. But, knight is good to me. I can tell upper mgt cares about their drivers. We have 30 full service terminals, showers, cable t.v., shops, fuel pumps, security name badges, nice trucks! (peterbilt, volvo, international) ect,ect,..I'm no cheerleader. All i'm saying is i'm doing ok here. Even my wife likes the color and design of the trucks. lol.

As far as the local runs go....it's a MACY'S account the have tons of work for. It's usually all hired up for, most of the time. It pays, DOE Home daily. The pos is slip seat. So, "some" drivers don't really take care of the equipment, you know...shop time and so forth.

I am neither a Hater nor a Cheerleader. I am just a company driver. I am doing OK at Knight. It is a mega-carrier so I don't expect a great experience. I demand more than I expect. You best be demanding if you work for a mega-carrier.
