Different carriers have different segments such as different "regional fleets" or "long haul OTR fleet", sounds like you're concerned about money more then potential home time. To answer your question, there is no way of getting any sort of guaranteed answers to who is going to have the best opportunity for the higher gross, and on which division or fleet is anybodies' guess. There are SO many variables in the trucking game at the large training companies. Absolutely no guarantees. Flip a coin. Better yet, choose one that has a nearby terminal and a fleet division that works for you.
Don't expect $1,000 weekly gross checks anytime soon if you go the typical reefer or van route at a mega carrier. Probably more like $700-800 in the beginning. More loads per week does not necessarily translate to more pay. It's about the average length of haul and the time wasted in between loads, and how efficient they are about getting you under another load and moving again.

Well I am really looking for the fun of transporting goods, I'm in it more to see the world, and someday wish to better my career and go O/O I am really looking for a company that is gonna help me get more loads for the experience, and yeah that does mean more money but I want experience. Money is good but experience is better.

No one wants you to idle as a rule.
If you live in Phoenix you could go to either company and be home every night. That's a giant bonus. -
I was just talking to a swift driver that is trying to get out of it because swift is hiring so many people that people are starting to get less loads, so I think I will go knight since they have a smaller company, and alot of people that I have talked to agree that knight might just be a little better.

They allow truck parking from another terminal without any problems ,
That how in 4 month a managed to see Vegas, Denver around mountains ,and look on Utah's side of Great Canyon! Made money and did not pay for plane tickets. So if you want to see country and different cities Knight best way to go!

Ok knight it is, how is the schooling? How often do they start new classes?
-
After school they require 4 weeks to be with trainer (who is sitting with you all the time, helping you with back ups etc).
After 4 weeks IF you confident , you can go solo, if not they might put you for 2 more weeks driving with trainer.
That pay is flat ( so does not matter how much miles you got, or if your truck on brakedown etc)
After you become SQUIRE , first 30 000 miles you getting 30c a mile(maybe they changed that) , regardless on how far you have to go.
After 30 000 you KNIGHT driver! And getting pad what rest do . -
Sweet, I have read about the squire deal and it sounds alot better than swifts mentor program, as they only require the first 50 hours to be with a trainer, and after that your a team. Can't learn very much when your trainer is sleeping or visa versa.

And when I contact a recruiter, where should I be asked to be directed to? I am moving to bullhead city before I go to school and would like to be as close to a terminal as possible. They have one in Vegas which is two hours away and the one in PHX is four hours away. Am I able to ask to be stationed and work out of the Vegas terminal?
