Had a GREAT driver. Clean cut, professional, and he taught me more than a few things. Liked him ALOT!
6 monts later wife calls and said that I had to get Richard out of the truck or they were gonna cancil my insurance.
He had had DUI 7 years prior. They dug it up even before all the hi-tech stuff we have now. This was in about 1985.
Point is that I believe that you should forget about a trucking career all to gether and learn some other trade.
Your record will haunt you for the rest of your life in this business. JMO -

You have another thread on this forum asking if your suspended license will be a problem. You should probably be considering a different line of work, maybe something that requires little responsibility and lots of supervision.

Show me where I was wrong. In both of these cases you said this was you.
My reading comprehension has always been pretty good, and I don't think I've screwed this up. As far as I can see, at 26 years old, you've already had 2 felony convictions, both for things that are not likely to be overlooked, and one of those within the last 5 years. You have also had a suspended license within the past year, for failing to pay a ticket for a moving violation. I get that people make mistakes, and that we all deserve a break sometimes, but this is clearly a poor career choice for you.
But you know, if you want to spend your cash on a CDL school without listening to what reasonable people are trying to tell you, best of luck to you bud. Just let me know where you'll be driving so I can try to be in a different state at the time.Tonythetruckerdude Thanks this.
