I agree with you and even more sad is that our govt 3 letter agencies caused the fentynl crisis to skyrocket into poisoning hundreds of thousands of people a year to death. More then veitnam deaths × 10... and they even admitted to it with the cdc guidelines being enforced... so they not only created the problem but they exasperated it and just let it continue

 

Your absolutely correct. Why do you think they went after kratom so hard with no evidence it kills.. kratom is cutting into big pharmaceutical profits. Its just trading one addiction for another more expensive patented one. And because of all the bills passed between 2016- forward like cares act/samsa/other drug treatment program's like MAT etc it allows to charge premium prices to addiction specialists and putting the bill on all us taxpayers

 

Not meaning to change the subject, but I am currently taking Hemp Oil. I have discovered it helps me cope with Osteoarthritis. However, even though Hemp is in the Cannabis family, as I understand it, the THC levels are small. Because of this, I would never take Hemp if I were still an active driver.

I bring this up to make a general warning about taking all supplements. I HIGHLY recommend speaking to a medical provider before doing so. The reagent strips used by the DOT drug testing labs are better today than they were in the past; still, all it takes is a false positive, and it might cause you major problems going forward. When it comes to Kratom, I have no opinion. My interests are solely for every driver reading my comment to have a long career driving.

It's important to remember it's not the presence of one of these metabolites in the body, but an amount past the cutoff that causes a positive. Eating poppy seeds will cause trace amounts of opiates to be in your body, just nowhere near enough to go past the cutoff and cause a positive. I spoke to a PhD type about this some years ago. They told me the human body can be likened to a burning fire. One person might be able to take a supplement like Kraton and have no issues with drug testing, but another who is taking a 3rd drug might take it and cause a false positive. So to repeat, I have no opinion about Kraton. I just want to issue this warning. If you test and it comes back positive, it's up to the MRO. MROs are supposed to understand drug interactions. Still, do you want to leave your career and livelihood in the hands of an MRO? I will end my comment this way -----

 

I've lived long enough & had family buy into the "it's from a plant, so it's safe" BS. Nearly every drug is from a plant. All-natural DOES NOT equal safe. Cyanide comes from apple seeds.

Even vitamins are not risk free. You can take enough to wreck your liver. And vitamins feed any cancer causing it to grow faster. You think the people selling CBD, Kratos, and other things are above lying, adulterated their product to boost income, then take it. We've seen Gomers posting on here after they lost a job taking this mystery stuff. I take pride in pointing & laughing at them. You are not converting the world you are taking mystery junk from strangers who have no responsibility or supervision & are risking your health to make money.

You just explained the Medical pharmaceutical industry to the T! Pharmaceutical drugs are much more dangerous then anything natural. They operate on the lowest cost to manufacture and highest profits they can charge. So your saying these Gomers can be on a medication from their physicians and be safe from losing their jobs?

 

The people pushing and defending the all-natural snake-oil want to be rich just like the execs at pharmaceutical industry which is why they got special exemption from govt regulations DSHAYS Act and they can legally sell you capsules of sawdust as supporting your body’s ability to regrow hair, fight cancers, get high. Sell the same capsule of the same material for 908 different medical conditions AND sell it in gas stations, vape shops, weed dispensary.
