When your brother worked for Chemical Leaman which terminal did he run out of? I ran for them out of the Columbus Oh terminal from the mid 80's thru the mid 90's. We hauled a lot of plastic pellets out of the Chevron plant in Belpre and GE in Washington W Va.

That must have been when Chemical Leaman got the GE account. A bunch of the guys who were pulling GE brought their trucks over to Chemical Leaman then. In Columbus we had the Chevron contract, pulling out of the railyard there and the plant in Belpre. I was on Chevron dedicated at the time and the only time I pulled GE plastic was when Chevron was slow. After Leaman got took over by Quality Carriers everybody was looking for a job. I pulled a tank for Yenkin Majestic Paint out of Columbus for a while but got tired of going to Brooklyn twice a week. Some of the other guys went to A & R, some to Suttles. I'm retired now.

My husband currently works for the company and is happy. No they don't have 2012 trucks but they maintain the trucks they have. They keep them pretty for the drivers and actually allow you to get truck washes. And no not every company will. A bottom of the barrel company will not. He gets paid well. Not everyones experience is going to be the same. I believe their good people and their trying to do the best by their company and their drivers that our economy and freight allows.

Read good, read bad but all a year or two old and from just a couple people. Anything more current or new about this Kuhnle? I live close and am considering their offer. The attractive part being going from a micro managed steering wheel holder company to one that gives more freedom but you still have to make a living. Have talked to 2 drivers there recently, one there 19 years, one there 2. Both love it and said they "treat you like an owner op". Any additional info will be greatly appreciated.

Saw your posting from November if your working there now then you have already figured this out. That 1 bad dispatcher is going to run some drivers off if they do not move her to a more suitable job. Because she is not a dispatcher. Maybe if she would pay more attention to her job and less to her status updates she would do a better job. I know several people who are not happy and considering quitting if they have to deal with her any longer. You can have a good boss, good equipment, but if your dispatcher sucks that is the main line to your support system. So I would beware of applying till Home base is stabilized. It has been a revolving door for a while and at least half the ones I have talked to have have said one of two things. Either not enough work or I can't deal with (M) #### anymore.OneLastTime Thanks this. -
Anybody have any input as to how they would compare to superior carriers or Dana for a Baltimore based driver?
