Correct but the turbo's aren't the problem with the Acerts. A lot of people think they are but even if you convert a BXS to a 6NZ you can keep the turbos. The compounds really are nice, I have 2 tuned 6NZ's and one MXS and the MXS cools better.

The turbo's aren't the issue for me. My W-9 has an MSX with a Bullydog tune and I pull trains and it runs beautifully .
If I had my " perfect world " choice I'd take the 6NZ for simplicity, not because I imagine it being any better performing.
The MSX would likely be my second choice just because I'm very happy with my current one.
In fact the fleet I'm leased on to has lots of ACERT powered trucks doing heavy work and I don't remember ever hearing of a turbo failure. Though I'm sure they must have happened, just uncommon. -
