Hey men!
I have a 2004 T800 it is an oilfield truck Not an 18 wheeler. It is a vacuum truck we use to haul drilling fluids. Therefore I have NO need for ABS brakes. It also has the Freedomline transmission. My question is how do I just disable the cotton pickin ABS? Is there a fuse I can pull or does that make the entire truck unoperational....?

if the light is on---put a piece of tape over it
and if the light is on--your abs isnt working anyways -
You can't.........the engine ECM has a data link that not only talks to the ABS system, but your Freedomline transmission. More than likely it's a wheel speed sensor that has failed and it doesn't cost much to replace. The other possiblity is a wheel bearing is loose and allowing too much run out of the hub, these are the two most commomn causes for an ABS light. Have you changed a wheel seal or axle bearing recently? If so I'd bet on the wheel hub run out.

Gentelmen - Freedomline will not work in auto mode w/o ABS. This TCM compares Front wheel speed, rear wheel speed (of every wheel to check for tracktion) and output shaft speed (VSS). Only comparing all this data TCM may shift in auto mode.
So if you deisable ABS ore EBS (depending on trucks and year of make), ore one ore more wheel speed sensor will not work properly you will get J1939 no all data code in your transmission and you will shift manually.
Now pull all ABS codes, clear codes, do the test drive and pull all current and stored codes (MID 136 SID/PID/PSID/PPID FMI) and I will help you.
I need to know what brand is ABS unit, what P/N. Usually there are ABS-D ore ABS-E by Wabco (Poland make, Wroclaw plant) units, but It will not be a surprize for me if there is Bosch/KnorrBremse/Bendix unit ore something more exotic.
Anyway I will help you to fix your ABS -
How do I pull codes on that truck? I see there is a switch in the drivers side kick panel. This is just annoying AS heck it is so bad now as soon as you take off you get that "beep beep beep" and the abs Light comes on then it won't shift! I don't need ABS at all this truck never sees a paved road.
Arrgh!
Thanks for the help! -
Also where is the ABS unt located? So I can see what it is???

I'm not sure. But there are two places they use to put ABS unit - in wall, beyoung drivers seat, ore in fuse panel area.
There is ABS Test button you can use to pull ABS codes, but if you have new digital dashboard with display you can use it to pull active ABS codes. ABS code looks like MID 136 SID/PID/PSOD/PPID XXX FMI XX.
I sugest there is Wabco ABS D ore ABS E unit. ABS D has 3 connectors, ABS E -two connectors. both ABS D and ABS E are 4s/4m systems. There is a wabco part number 446 XXX XXX X. You can use Wabco-Auto Website to get description and wiing diagram, but manufacter may change something.
Yeah, I know that you need no ABS, but ZF Astronic/Freedom line is designed to work with ABS/EBS.obs_man Thanks this. -
Ok that helps get me started too thanks for the help. I'll keep ya posted if I find something!

I just had this issue on my W9. (The ABS unit is behind the 'joke' of a center console).
Scanned it and it came back as.....
A bad wheel sensor. Ohmed it out to be sure.
$66 for the part from the dealer. -
I always have some new ABS sensors home to fix. But usually there are broken wires.
Yeaterday I checked Pete 387 ABS. It is ABS-D by Wabco like on DAF trucks, but with 12V modulators. One bad sensor and ABS light is on. twony minutes work. Driver is happy!
