kw t2000 static issue???

    i have a kw t2000 and recently installed a galaxy dx 959 with rf power, gain and mic gaia at 100%, and if i turn the squelch any lower than 3/4 full, i fet alot of static. i am currentl running a cophased antenna system with 2 top loaded 2500 watt wilsons. any help would be greatly appreciated.

    You may want to only run one antenna,turn your mic gain down a tad. With the RF gain all the way up thats going to bring in all the static from little signals everwhere. My old stryker was like that you have to play the give and take game with the RF and squelch. I did run the RF wide open and my squelch was usualy around 1/3. I never run the mic gain wide open. It seemed to distort more at wide open.
