KW W900 sleeper door

    If you don't latch/lock the passenger tool box on our rigs, you can easily open the release latch for the sleeper exit door and obtain access to the rig w/o using any keys.
    I never knew there was a release bar inside the top outer area of the tool box, but I always lock them anyways.

    Maybe people know about this but in the case that someone might not I wanted to pass it along...The release lever is located just above the toolbox door on the inside of the outer wall.

    ...I don't know if this is the case on other KWs like the T600 and so on. But the lever is on my rig and it does work. So if I left the tool box unlocked, I could come back to an emptied rig - or a rig that is missing. Granted our trucks are not hard to break into, but we don't want to be giving people even more access than they could have...

    I have ALWAYS locked my jockey boxes...But then I always lock everything.
