I am from Wisconsin, and now local to Iowa, so I am very partial to kwik star. Casey’s is hit or miss, some of the smaller ones are ok I guess but Kwik star knocks them out of the park. Not even a competition.

I’ve heard that kwik star takes pretty good care of their employees, good pay and benefits, profit sharing, etc., so that probably has a lot to do with it. They tend to have a lot of older adults working instead of stupid teenagers. The older employees are always friendly and welcoming, and much harder workers.

And of course as mentioned, the food is great and affordable. And usually if you go in around lunch time, there will be a worker in there handing out samples of whatever food is on special that day.
