    You are doing well, I am sincerely happy for you.

    That does not change the overall picture. Earlier I said that my company's l/p AVERAGE $1.40-1.45 on 2500 miles, which results in a $1200ish net. You asked where these asumptions about l/p income originate from, this is it. Some guys like yourself do better than average, some significantly so. Bully for them. Some make less, and over 50% don't make it a full year at my company.

    We have seen long term members here start out doing an lp and post numbers similar to yours, and a few years latter they crash and burn financially. We also see a lot of guys come on, ask a bunch of questions, sign on the dotted line, post a couple of updates and then are never heard from again.

    Then there are the guys who successfully complete a lease purchase. Most of them will say that it was a reasonable way to start, but there are better ways if you can swing it. They always mention how diligently they worked and point out the pitfalls. Their usual parting line is something like "do your research, have a plan, work hard, and it might work, but its not for everyone".

    Agreed. I do feel fortunate. It definitely is not for everyone . I look at this as a 4 year college education to become an o/o. Thanks

    Lol. Why didn't Salt Lake to Clackamas OR pay??? Did you not scan it before the pay period end?

    That trip's about 730 miles had it payed it would have bought your mileage to around 4200 for the week.

    Your week went;

    Denver to Salt Lake

    Salt Lake to Clackamas OR
    (we can see that detention payed but the mileage didn't pay)

    Clackamas OR to Spokane WA deadhead

    Spokane WA to Buffalo NY

    Buffalo NY to Manchester NH

    I didn't go to Clackamas. $130 detention was from a previous trip. Next week I'll be paid detention for this week.
