The problem with cb radios and there users has not changed, and it is the underlying reason that good knowledgeable shops are difficult to find.
Cb'ers are cheep, they generally dont want to spend much, little or no knowledge of how a radio is suppose to function, expect warranty's to last forever. Just not worth it. I will not touch a cb radio for most, a couple of friends thats it.
I do not believe in turning a radio into a splatter monster, or pushing its finals, you dont need it. clean crisp audio, 3.5 to 4 watts swing, legal output that will be loud and clear.
I doubt that the average driver can tell if a tech bench is setup properly.

CB Shop At the Petro - Atlanta, Georgia - Local Business | Facebookrabbiporkchop Thanks this. -
I've been to some around the states some really nice CB Shops and some that needed spring cleaning and especially cig smoke cleaning. There is a very nice tech out in Sacramento, California at Sacramento 49er Travel Plaza over on El Centro Rd that I used few times they always did great work. Very nice and honest guys. I haven't been there in four years so am not sure who is there now.

It's been my experience that the good techs are busy techs, and busy techs don't have time to clean and pick up. The best one I knew smoked cigars. My wife could tell when I walked in the house where I had been!

I have Asthma I can smell cig smoke especially menthol's. I don't mind that people do smoke but don't do it around my radio or another customers radio while their paying for the radio to be setup or etc.
