I’m hauling a load of lumber. A lady claims a piece of wood came off my trailer and hit her car. I look and the lumber is all there still stacked neatly. Trooper shows up climbs up top and says there is a cross out missing. I point out that several bundles are missing cross outs that doesn’t mean anything. He looked at me and said they probably fell off to. The lady told him my straps were loose. He walked down the load and grabbed all of them. Turns around and asked if I tightened them down before he showed up. He proceeded to say that because there is a cross out missing on the last bundle that it is probably true that it hit her car.
Now for the question. He did write it up, no tickets no inspection or anything else. Give me a report number and we parted ways. Will this show up as an accident on my MVR? I’m not necessarily worried about my insurance carrier right now as I’ll pay to have the ladies bumper fixed on her already beat up 2016 Honda Civic. But I’m concerned about this bothering my insurance renewal next year. I’ve not ever had the privilege of dealing with this in my career so I’m looking for a little input from some of y’all that might have dealt with something like this.
Lady called the cops on me.

If the ticket didn't have a court date or fine I am willing to bet it doesn't show up anywhere that will hurt you.

I had a car driver falsely claim I damaged their vehicle. I got a property damage ticket from local cop and it never showed up anywhere.

Even if lumber fell off it doesn't fly like a plastic trash bag. She would have had to been following so close. Sounds like fraud to me.
Did they produce a piece of lumber as evidence? -

I would have had the cop driving back down the road looking for the lumber that supposedly fell off .

If you have zero loss claim I don’t think it’ll make any difference on renewal. Unless you have progressive or something. They are more finicky.
