Lander's must be having problems today

The correct answer is they have a jacked up computer system that had to be restarted and reset everything. For the first month, it was like this, then they made some changes and it started to work correct, loads were obvious to the system, as they had billing, empty's brought in (EMHU, UMXU) it would automatically assume as empty if they system didn't indicate rail billing. Then this "hiccup", their words, not mine, occurred, now, every empty brought in it asks if it's empty or loaded, you have to enter "MTY" for the seal, then it asks if it's Hazard, which, you're not allowed to return an empty ISO that hasn't been cleaned out, or so we were told, so that means it's a screwed up system again.

Hey, does anyone remember the 'older' guy that worked at conrail 47th street?

He used to intimidate the Young or the Foreign speaking drivers that brought containers in..He had grayish-white hair with a full beard..Boy oh Boy,If you didn't get to know him,He was Bad,I Mean Bad...............Cant remember his name now, He was there until the mid 1990's.....

B&O 79th street (aka forest hills)?
Grand Trunk GTW 43rd street?
Soo Line East and West?
Burlington Northern House 9?

 

Yes I remember all those yards and the 3 conrails the Milwaukee road
Solo line east? Where was that, west was out by Ohare right?

 

Another one that comes to mind was IC RR on Damien and I 55

 

Yeah..That 1 on damen was the Southern Pacific

The ICG Illinois central was in Harvey

Soo Line East was in Schiller park off Lawrence ave (I believe its still there?)

 

I was just at landers yesterday. 1 hour to get inside, then another hour to get my empty lifted off!

 

consider that a blessing.....lmao!!

 

1 hour to get the empty lifted at Landers isn't that bad....I've ingated at 3:00pm only to outgate at 9:00pm just to get a container lifted.....and I live about 10 min from Landers!!!!
