That's probably true but not every place uses those. At a place where we pick up backhauls (I'm in food service now) they have a carrier that drops off trailers to be loaded. This place does not use dock locks, or anything more significant than a wheel chock to secure the trailers.

As for the landing gear, its just standard holland landing gear. Except one was an Automan at one point. We were using holland mark V, but they bent that too. They side load them front to back in a building on flat concrete, so the landing gear takes the most of the weight right off the bat. No support jacks used under it, and there are no holes where the landing gear legs go.

Look at the shipping wt. of the heavy duty legs they are made of way thicker steel and will last, had same thing happen at atl,ga usg plant and had to cut the legs off because they could not be rolled up, looked fun till i went by on way home and got the heavy set of legs at trailer sales lot and put them on over week end?
