I believe you get 2 weeks vacation after the first year.
and I can't remember about the detention pay.

LawDogg.. yeah we enjoyed our time off. We stayed at the LaQuinta, pricey but worth it. Microtel is cheaper but didn't have truck parking and don't ask why that was important because I know of plenty of places where we could park the truck.. but in hindsight it was a good idea to stay at LaQuinta. I guess the mechanic that came out to replace the batteries got some wires mixed up. Because even after getting new batteries, lights on the inside were extremely dim and the compressor on the fridge wouldnt run..
Anyways, here is a funny story for ya'll.
A couple of weeks before we went home, we had an "A" service done on truck. We went on our merry way. Fast forward.. While we were standing outside with the mechanic I was looking at the hood on the driver's side and I noticed what I thought was bird crap.. but it wasn't.. when the mechanics at the fontana yard did the A service, they put rivets through the foam padding to keep it in place, which came out thru the hood!!!! but they didn't do the other side, which is falling down... I could not stop laughing. Granted if I was an O/O I would have been highly pissed off! So, I take some pictures and call maintenance and let them know and sent them the pictures.. So come christmas time, I have a place to hang some lights
